ModaMortgages has hired Shannon O'Malley and Thomas Churchill as business development managers.
ModaMortgages is the soon-to-launch specialist buy-to-let mortgage lender from Chetwood Financial, a Wrexham-based digital bank founded in 2016.
O’Malley previously worked with Landbay as a telephone BDM, with the move to ModaMortgages marking her first step into a field-based role. She will be covering the South East of England.
Churchill will cover the South West, South Midlands and South Wales. He has a decade’s experience in the industry having previously worked for Co-operative Bank, where he spent over five years and rose the position of key account relationship manager, and before as a BDM for TSB Bank.
O'Malley and Churchill join fellow BDMs Bec Murray and George Morgan, as well as senior BDM Becki Fraser-Tucker. The BDMs report into Scott Phillips, head of sales, while Darrell Walker, ModaMortgages’ director of sales and distribution, oversees the entire sales and BDM team, along with distribution.
Walker said: “We’re hugely passionate about building a diverse team – one that blends youth with experience and shares the goal of making ModaMortgages the home of ‘smarter, faster, simpler’ buy-to-let mortgages. Shannon and Thomas are wonderful additions to our team, and this increases our coverage across all regions of England and Wales, which will ensure we deliver the best possible support to brokers nationwide as we prepare for our launch.”
O’Malley commented: “I’m delighted to have joined ModaMortgages. It’s really exciting to come to a new lender, and the quality of the team they have built speaks for itself. There is such a clear vision for how ModaMortgages will go about working with brokers, with a razor-sharp focus on delivering an exceptional, pain-free experience. I cannot wait to play my part in the journey.”
Churchill added: “It’s great to be welcomed into ModaMortgages’ team. We are at the start of something very exciting here, and I have no doubt that our no-nonsense approach to buy-to-let lending is exactly what the broker market is crying out for. I’m really looking forward to throwing myself into the new role and connecting with brokers across the South West, South Midlands and South Wales.”
