Castle Trust Bank has strengthened its sales team and coverage with the recruitment of Ryan Johnson as a business development manager for the South East and East Anglia.

Ryan has a broad experience in specialist lending, across a number of roles covering redemptions, underwriting, completions and business development. He joins Castle Trust Bank from Bluestone Mortgages, where he was a BDM, and has previously held positions at Hampshire Trust Bank, Masthaven Bank and Amicus Finance.

Last summer, Castle Trust Bank launched a specialist bridging proposition, supported by dedicated sales, underwriting and processing teams. The proposition includes specialist products for heavy refurbishment, light refurbishment and a bridge product that can be used for chain breaks, quick purchases, auction purchases and development exits.

Light refurb and heavy refurb bridge products include net LTV calculations, meaning that fees and interest can be added to the loan above the maximum LTVs, and brokers have the option of locking into the rate they are quoted at the outset.

Anna Lewis, commercial director at Castle Trust Bank, said: “We are delighted that Ryan has joined Castle Trust Bank to help us grow our business in the South East and East Anglia. With Castle Trust’s bridging range, brokers have access to clear criteria and product information, but can also rely on us being able to meet the individual needs of their clients, structuring solutions in ways that deliver the best customer outcomes.

“Our 4-hour service levels provide brokers with the responsive feedback they need in order to deliver their clients with an excellent customer experience, and we continue to invest in supporting our brokers, with a dedicated BDM team, each supported by their own telephone BDM. Ryan is that latest regional account manager to join that team and will be instrumental in helping more brokers to experience the benefits of working with Castle Trust Bank.”

Ryan Johnson added: “Castle Trust Bank has a strong reputation for providing brokers with a unique combination of flexibility and certainty, supported by really responsive service. I’m excited to join the team and play my part in continuing to build on this reputation, helping more brokers in the South East and East Anglia to deliver great outcomes to more of their clients.”
