YBS Commercial appoints Angela Norman as interim MD
Angela will be replaced as interim head of lending by Mike Davies.

YBS Commercial Mortgages has announced that Angela Norman is stepping up into the role of interim managing director.
She moves from her existing role as head of lending for YBS Commercial, where she has managed the lending teams, focussing on enhancing the support provided for portfolio landlords and owner-occupier businesses, and led the lender’s growth plans.
She replaces Tom Simpson, who steps up into the role of interim chief commercial officer for Yorkshire Building Society. His remit will cover all brands including Yorkshire Building Society, Accord and YBS Commercial Mortgages.
Angela joined the business in June from Recognise Bank and has worked in the commercial finance industry for over 25 years.
Angela will be replaced as interim head of lending by Mike Davies, who is currently head of business development for YBS Commercial. The appointment into the interim head of lending role will widen Mike’s remit, overseeing the business development and relationship teams.
Angela said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity to play an even bigger role in driving the YBS Commercial business forward. It’s an exciting point in our growth journey, and I’ve been blown away with the team’s determination and commitment to deliver for our brokers and customers.
“A key priority since I’ve been with the business has been to focus on enhancing the customer journey, listening to and acting on crucial feedback from brokers and colleagues. We remain committed to making changes to how we operate to create better customer experiences, as well as offering a strong alternative to the big banks with our experienced teams on the ground and purposeful propositions, which support local businesses and their communities.
“I’m looking forward to leading this fantastic team, growing the workforce and driving the business forward to deliver our ambitious growth plans.”
Mike Davies said: “I’m looking forward to working more closely with Angela and our regional teams. I believe that bringing our business development and relationship teams together creates a more joined up approach and will ensure that we are set up to provide an even better service for our brokers and clients.”
