Virgin cuts residential, buy-to-let and product transfer rates
Residential fixed rates now start from 3.94%.

Virgin Money has reduced rates across its residential and buy-to-let product rates by up to 0.20%.
In the lender's purchase range, 95% LTV fee-free rates have reduced by up to 0.11% and now start from 5.03%.
Selected core two, three and five-year rates are down by up to 0.11%, with rates now starting from 3.94%.
Selected Fix and Switch rates will be reduced by up to 0.11%, starting from 4.93%, and exclusive 80% LTV rates have decreased by up to 16bps with the lowest rate now at 4.12%.
Shared ownership rates have seen reductions of up to 0.20%, now starting from 4.12%, with Retrofit Boost rates trimmed by 5bps and £1m+ rates reduced by up to 10bps.
Selected Own New rates have reduced by up to 0.10%, with rates in the range now starting from 0.35%. Own New Rate Reducer producs offer reduced mortgage rates for new build customers by investing homebuilder incentive budgets into the mortgage upfront, typically up to 5% of the property purchase price.
In Virgin's remortgage range, exclusive 80% LTV rates have reduced by up to 0.10%, starting from 4.43%, and five-year Retrofit Boost rates will be reduced by 0.05%, starting from 4.24%.
For buy-to-let, five-year fixed rates with a 3% fee now start from 3.80% and rates with a £2,195 fee have reduced by up to 0.10%, now starting from 4.02%.
Selected 60% and 75% LTV rates have lowered by up to 0.17%, now starting from 4.17% with a 1% fee and 4.27% with a £995 fee.
Fee-savers will be reduced by up to 0.08%, with rates starting from 4.50%.
Fix and Switch rates have decreased by up to 0.18%, starting from 4.74%, while 75% LTV five-year Retrofit Boost rate are now available at 4.60%.
As part of the changes, Virgin is increasing its 80% LTV five-year buy-to-let products by 0.20%, now starting from 5.20% with a 1% fee and 5.27% with a £995 fee.
Residential product transfer rates at 65% and 75% LTV now start from 3.85% and buy-to-let product rates are available from 3.99%.
