United Trust Bank appoints relationship manager for deposit solutions
The Bank is targeting growth in trust deposits business through solicitors, IFAs and other professionals.
United Trust Bank (UTB) has appointed Louis Gleeson as a relationship manager in its deposit solutions team with a focus on growing UTB’s trust deposits business.
As well as being responsible for managing all incoming trust savings enquiries, Louis will work with an increasing number of solicitors, accountants, IFAs and tax advisers in helping them to manage their clients’ trust savings effectively and efficiently.
Louis joins United Trust Bank from Cascade Cash Management where he was a savings executive. There his key role was to develop and strengthen relationships with IFA partners and assist them in managing their clients' cash portfolios.
UTB launched a new range of deposit accounts specifically designed to cater for trustee customers in February. UTB’s trust deposit accounts properly recognise the legal structure of a trust, protecting trustees and beneficiaries while keeping administration compliant straightforward and providing legal clarity and protection.
Stephanie Charsley, head of deposit solutions at United Trust Bank, said: “Louis’ experience working directly with customers and building relationships with IFAs and other professional introducers will be invaluable in helping us to grow UTB’s trust savings business. Trusts are becoming more widely used to help people maintain control over their assets during their lifetime and how those assets are passed on to family and other beneficiaries after their death.
“Many people are first introduced to the notion of using a trust by their solicitor, accountant, tax adviser or IFA and we recognise how important it is that we deliver an excellent service when professionals recommend UTB to provide the right savings solution to suit the trust’s needs.”
