Ultimate Finance's parent company set to acquire Time Finance
The deal would create a combined group with a net loan book of nearly £650 million.
Bentley Park, the parent company of Ultimate Finance, has agreed the terms of a cash acquisition of Time Finance.
Subject to approval, Bentley Park will acquire the entire issued share capital of Time Finance, worth around £55 million.
The acquisition is being implemented by means of a Court-sanctioned scheme which is expected to become effective during the fourth quarter of 2026.
Time Finance provides asset finance, invoice finance, business loans and asset-based lending to UK businesses. The lender aims to grow its overall lending book to over £300m by 2028 and currently operates from four locations across the UK – Bath, Reading, Manchester, and Warrington.
The deal is aimed at creating a larger SME lending platform, with the group set to have a combined net loan book of nearly £650 million.
Time Finance first considered a sale following an initial approach from a third party in Q3 2025. The process continued in Q4 and saw a range of potential interested parties expressing interest, culminating in the acquisition being announced by Time Finance and Bentley Park on 17th August 2026, which has since been unanimously recommended by the Time Finance board.
