Step One enhances broker portal with AVMs and full valuation reports
The latest enhancements include free AVMs at the Quick Quote stage and access to downloadable full valuation reports through the lender's new dashboard.
Step One Finance has partnered with Landworth.AI to give brokers free access to detailed property valuations and downloadable full AVM reports through its new One Mortgage System (OMS) broker portal.
Through the portal, Step One will provide a free automated valuation model (AVM) at Quick Quote stage, allowing intermediaries to establish an indicative property value before progressing to a full application.
Step One has also developed a dedicated valuation lookup dashboard which gives brokers access to more detailed property information, including the valuation figure, a summary of the property and, importantly, the ability to download the full AVM report at no cost.
The functionality is available through Step One's new broker portal for properties in England and Wales.
Neil Molyneux, director of sales at Step One Finance, commented: "Free AVMs are nothing new, but we wanted to make the information more useful to brokers. Giving them access to the full valuation report, rather than simply a figure, provides greater transparency and helps them assess cases with more confidence right from the outset. It's another way we're making it easier and quicker to do business with Step One."
Agnieszka Jouille, director of operations and strategy at Step One Finance, added: "Our investment in technology is focused on creating faster, simpler and more efficient application journey, rather than simply digitising existing processes. Integrating Landworth.AI directly into our new origination platform is part of our wider strategy to streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention and eliminate unnecessary delays.
"By connecting systems and automating key stages of the process, we are building a more seamless experience for brokers while creating the operational capacity to support future growth."
Paul Chapman, founder and CEO of Landworth.AI, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Step One Finance to give brokers the full valuation report from day one. Every Landworth.AI valuation shows its workings – the comparable evidence behind the number and a confidence score on the European AVM Alliance’s 0–7 scale, so a lender knows at a glance when the AVM is enough and when a surveyor is needed. That means better-informed decisions earlier in the lending journey, and we’re looking forward to seeing brokers put it to use.”
