Mint Bridging offers intermediaries direct access to underwriters
Mint Bridging has announced it will offer direct access to underwriters following an extensive review of its operations, and the needs of the wider market.
Mint has now made each of its eight mandated underwriters a single point of enquiry for its intermediary partners. They will now receive enquiries and provide terms, underwrite the application when it arrives, and then oversee it through to drawdown of funds.
The firm said this streamlined process should enable 'faster and better decisions', as one person will oversee the case from the start to the end of the process. These changes will provide greater capacity for Mint’s Head of Sales, Sinead Moynihan, to concentrate on external intermediary interactions.
Sinead Moynihan confirmed:
“As we talked to intermediaries, one thing above all else became clear, which is that most lenders they deal with have multiple people working on a single case, leading to wasted time and effort, and sometimes decisions which are not joined up. By giving our partners direct access to underwriters, who will act as both underwriter and relationship manager, we expect to be able to provide them with the service which they desire. This is the first of a number of changes we are making to our structure, processes and products, with further announcements to come very soon.”
