Ian Cruickshank joins Blimey! Loans from Smart Money and brings with him more than 30 years’ experience of working in the financial sector.

Cruickshank said:

“I was immediately in sync with the team at Blimey when I met them, it’s a very professional and positive company and we share the same work ethos – getting the best possible deal for the client as quickly as possible.”

He will be focusing on IFAs and mortgage brokers between Northampton and Newcastle to begin with and says a lot of advisers aren’t aware of how their clients could benefit from working with Blimey and accessing its panel of specialist lenders.

“There are a lot of mortgage prisoners in the UK who can’t borrow further money on their first charge because of prohibitive penalties, or because they are on a great rate. We placed a case where the customer had £100,000 of credit card debt which was costing around £3,000 a month to service, we consolidated the borrowing in a second charge loan and reduced the monthly payments by £2,300,” he said.

Alistair Ewing, owner of Blimey! Loans said:

“Ian is a great addition to the team, he brings experience, knowledge and an approach towards building long term relationships which fits perfectly with how we want to do business.

“We are very pleased he’s joined the team at such an exciting point in our growth plans.”
