1st Stop appoints Shawbrook's Philip George as NED
1st Stop Group Limited has strengthened its Board with the appointment of Shawbrook Bank's Philip George as Non-Executive Director.
"We envisage significant growth in our chosen markets and this appointment provides us with Philip’s vast experience and knowledge."
Prior to Shawbrook, Philip was Managing Director of Commercial First Mortgages and in 2009 became managing director and co-founder of Link Loans Ltd, a prime secured loan lender.
In 2011 he became joint managing director and co-founder of Shawbrook, before settling into his current role as Managing Director of Business Development.
Prior to joining Commercial First Mortgages, Philip, a qualified banker, had been the Managing Director of First National Bank — the specialist lending arm of Abbey National. His career with First National spanned over 30 years, culminating in becoming Managing Director in 1997 and CEO in 2000.
1st Stop Group was established in 2009 and has has offices in Blackpool and Durham.
