Skipton strengthens broker support team
Skipton Building Society has expanded its business development team with the appointment of a new telephone BDM.

Emma Wilkinson has joined the team and will be working with firms in the South West. She has joined from Skipton’s direct mortgage team as part of the Society’s growth programme.
In addition, Skipton has promoted Amanda Mandziuk to a new role of Criteria Systems Specialist to maintain and update the Society’s criteria across both internal systems and in collaboration with its external partners.
Further recruitment is also taking place for field BDMs to cover London and the Northern regions.
Paul Fenn, Skipton’s head of business development, said: “At Skipton we’re in growth mode right now. We’re increasing our BDM team and continuing with our aspiration to become a top 10 lender. We’ve also created a new role designed to make sure criteria and policy change is up to date, accurate and more dynamic as we exit the world of Covid.
“We’ve invested a lot in tech over last two or three years, too. AVM, auto ID and electronic income verification to name but a few. And we’ll continue to invest and improve in our technology, so it helps to streamline what we need from the adviser and complements our BDM relationships.”
Emma added: “I am really excited to join the BDM team and can’t wait to start building relationships and supporting brokers.”
