Sirius expands commercial finance team
Sirius Property Finance has appointed a commercial finance specialist to its commercial real estate and SME finance team.
"There is increasing demand in the commercial sector, which has perhaps lived in the shadow of residential development for some years. "
Geoff Vickers is a law graduate and chartered banker with more than 38 years’ experience in commercial and corporate banking, including as a business development director at Lloyds Banking Group and a business development partner at Clydesdale Bank.
Nicholas Christofi, co-founder at Sirius Property Finance, said: “There is increasing demand in the commercial sector, which has perhaps lived in the shadow of residential development for some years. This is an area where we expect to see growth in our business and so we are recruiting sector experts like Geoff to ensure we deliver our clients the type of experience they have come to expect from Sirius. Geoff has worked in big mid-market roles at Lloyds and the ability to recruit an adviser of his calibre is testament to the excellent reputation Sirius has in the wider market.”
Geoff Vickers added: “I am really delighted to join Sirius at such an exciting time, with the business going through so much growth and moving to new offices in the City of London. I have a lot of experience in debt advice for the commercial sector and excellent connections with the main professional adviser firms. I am looking forward to working with the team to help develop this side of the business.”
