Signature enhances lending process with DeskVal
The short-term property lender aims to improve service levels for brokers and borrowers with the new desktop valuation tool.
Signature Property Finance has adopted desktop valuation tool, DeskVal, from Ultimate Property Dashboard to support its short-term property lending operations.
Designed to deliver fast, accurate, and consistent desktop valuations, DeskVal aims to streamline early decision-making and improve the borrower experience.
By integrating DeskVal into its lending workflow, Signature aims to improve service levels for brokers and borrowers, without turning to automation or algorithms to make decisions. Instead, the technology acts as a support tool for professionals, enhancing – not replacing – human judgement.
By speeding up the initial assessment of a deal’s viability, the platform enables Signature’s lending team to act with greater agility, providing quicker feedback to brokers and developers.
Thomas Howells, chief operating officer at Signature, commented: "It’s important we continue to improve the service we deliver to brokers and property investors. And DeskVal is the latest step in our evolution, helping us move faster in a competitive market.
“It’s a smart, data-driven tool that supports our underwriters and relationship managers by providing a clear picture of a property's likely value at the early stages – but it doesn’t replace human input. Lending decisions remain firmly in the hands of our experienced team.
“We believe, adopting DeskVal underlines our commitment to delivering efficient, borrower-focused finance solutions while maintaining the high-touch, relationship-led service on which our reputation is built. With relationship managers based across the UK, Signature continues to place local market knowledge at the heart of every deal.
"We’ve always believed in combining speed with service. DeskVal allows us to do just that – enabling quicker evaluations while preserving the personalised approach that borrowers and brokers value."
