Signature appoints BDM for London and the South
Former Santander Director of Business Banking, Gary Playle, has joined Signature Private Finance as its new Business Development Manager to support brokers in London and the South.
Signature Private Finance is a privately-owned Principal Lender, backed by a leading Private Equity Fund. It offers a range of flexible finance products, including residential and commercial bridging, light and heavy refurbishment, revolving trading facility and auction finance.
In November, Signature confirmed Tony Gilbertson as its new CEO after he undertook the role on an interim basis for the previous six months.
CEO Tony Gilbertson commented: “We are performing well in a competitive market and there remains plenty of appetite for our low rates, high LTVs, quick decision process and unrivalled service. So it’s now time to ensure brokers and property professionals right across the country have access to what we have to offer.
“In the past Gary has been responsible for raising the profile of bridging finance with accountants, intermediaries, brokers and customers, which is very much the same role expected of him here at Signature, as we continue to build our reputation in the short-term property finance sector.
“Working closely with our new Sales Manager, Steve Sanderson, Gary will help get our message across to the vibrant market in London and the South. He’s a pro-active individual who has impressed with his positive attitude and a drive for success, so I’m confident he will bring in the business we need to meet our demanding growth targets.”
Playle commented: “This is an exciting move for me. Signature is certainly making a name for itself in the short-term property finance sector and I’m pleased to be part of what appears a bright future.
“The business is ambitious, with a realistic growth strategy based on great products and a personal service, delivered by seasoned professionals. I believe 2017 will be a good year, with a strengthening UK economy delivering great opportunities in the property market and Signature in a position to support brokers as they help their clients achieve positive outcomes to property deals.
“With more traditional sources of finance remaining difficult to access for many property developers and investors, I see no let-up in Signature’s growth surge built on an understanding of every aspect of property development, not just figures on a balance sheet.”
