Scott Phillips joins Landbay as national account manager
The buy-to-let lender is strengthening its national accounts team as it expands its distribution reach.
Landbay has appointed Scott Phillips as its new national account manager.
Scott joins Landbay with 20 years’ experience in the mortgage industry, much of it spent working in national accounts and in roles involving the management and development of sales teams.
Most recently, Scott worked with Saffron for Intermediaries as intermediary sales manager, having previously been head of sales at ModaMortgages and a national account manager at Vida.
In his new role, Scott will work with Landbay’s network and mortgage club partners, supporting existing relationships and helping the lender reach a wider range of advisers and their landlord clients.
Scott’s appointment follows the announcement earlier this month of Daniel Bell as Landbay’s new BDM covering North Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland.
Rob Stanton, sales and distribution director at Landbay, said: “Scott brings a huge amount of mortgage market experience to Landbay, particularly within national accounts, and he has an excellent understanding of how lenders can work successfully with networks, clubs and their member firms.
“Our proposition has grown considerably, particularly following the addition of our Premier range, and that means we are now able to support an even wider range of landlords and buy-to-let cases. Distribution has an important part to play in ensuring advisers understand the breadth of what we can offer and where Landbay might be able to help their clients.
“Scott’s experience and relationships across the intermediary market will be a real asset as we continue to develop our work with our network, club and distributor partners, and we are very pleased to welcome him to the team.”
Scott Phillips added: “Landbay has built a strong reputation in the specialist buy-to-let market and, with the continued development of its product range, there is a significant opportunity to make sure more advisers understand the wider range of cases we can now support.
“I have spent much of my career working with national accounts and sales teams, so I am looking forward to using that experience to strengthen Landbay’s relationships with its partners, while helping more advisers access the excellent buy-to-let proposition we have.”
