Scottish Life enhances auto enrolment support for advisers
Scottish Life, the pensions specialist arm of the Royal London Group, has added to its extensive range of auto enrolment support material for advisers.
The enhancements, which include two calculators, will help advisers define their service proposition, calculate appropriate charges and communicate more effectively with their AE clients.
The newly created tools include:
- Charge out rate calculator -- to help advisers understand the costs incurred in running their business and to set appropriate hourly rates for their staff
- Services calculator -- to help advisers set out the services, and applicable charges, required to design, implement and run auto enrolment solutions for their AE clients.
By using these calculators, advisers will be able to create individual reports for both existing and prospective clients to clearly outline the services they provide and the charges involved.
The support package also includes explanatory leaflets and a video demonstration of how the calculators work.
Jamie Clark, Business Development Manager at Scottish Life, said:
"There have been huge changes in the corporate pensions market over the past year. These have brought real opportunities for professional advisers, but also some tough challenges. During this time, Scottish Life has focussed on working with advisers to jointly provide the best possible service and pension arrangements for their clients.
"We've had a lot of positive feedback about the support material we provide for advisers and their clients. But we also know that with increasing numbers of employers looking to advisers for help and advice, there is a demand in some areas for additional support, and that's what we've developed in this new package."
