LV= launches dedicated retirement advice desk
LV= is launching a new advice desk, manned by a dedicated team of experienced retirement solutions specialists, to help advisers who have clients who are due to retire before April 2015.
Advisers who contact the LV= Retirement Desk will receive one-to-one telephone support from the specialists. The team can offer advisers guidance as to what they and their clients need to be aware of in the short-to-medium term, and can provide advisers with online tools to help navigate the options available.
As well as providing advisers with information on the retirement income changes that have occurred since the Budget, the team on LV=’s Retirement Desk can also help with general retirement planning queries and individual cases. They can provide detailed information on the full range of income options including lifetime and enhanced annuities, fixed-term annuities and capped and flexible drawdown.
Support from the desk is available for all advisers in the market-place, building on the service LV= already provides to over 4,000 adviser firms who have been allocated a dedicated retirement consultant.
John Perks, Managing Director of LV= Retirement Solutions said:
“Today’s retirees have even more income options available to them and we want to ensure that advisers and their clients take advantage of the opportunities presented by the rule changes announced in the Budget.
“We are keen to work with advisers to help them demonstrate the value of at retirement advice and have developed the LV= Retirement Desk as a first point of contact. Advisers can talk through their client’s situation in detail with a specialist who can offer a personalised approach. The launch of this specialist team demonstrates our commitment to the adviser community.”
Alan Lakey, Partner at Highclere Financial Services, whose business has worked with LV= on a pilot of the desk since the start of the year, said:
“I have already made good use of this facility and it has proven to be valuable in assisting me regarding options and client choice. Having the ability to speak with knowledgeable people who are genuinely interested in your business is, sadly, uncommon these days, therefore I would urge any adviser to check out the LV= Retirement Desk.”
