Santander to withdraw GI range
From Tuesday 31 March, Santander for Intermediaries will withdraw General Insurance from its new business product range to focus on its mortgage proposition.

All Santander Additions quotations/applications created by close of business on 31 March 2015 will continue to be valid for 90 days, and the existing application process remains in place until this date.
Customers who have an existing Santander Additions policy will continue to be protected under the terms of their existing insurance contract.
Santander said that it will continue to work closely with its General Insurance provider to ensure customers continue to receive the service that they have benefitted from over recent years.
In a statement, Santander said:
“Santander reviews its product propositions and channels to ensure they continue to deliver value for customers. Following a review Santander for intermediaries has taken the strategic decision to focus on its mortgage proposition for its intermediary partners.
“Santander will continue to offer General Insurance products through its branch network, over the phone and online.”
