British Friendly boosts short term IP offering
British Friendly has extended the deferred period options on its short term income protection products, Short Term Protect and Breathing Space.
"We want to make it as easy as possible for advisers to do business with their clients and expanding the deferred period options our short term IP is a logical step."
The products now have deferred period options of 1, 4, 8 and 13 weeks, which British Friendly says is the widest available for 1, 2 or 5 year claim periods.
British Friendly launched their new brand in May. It recently announced a death benefit of 6 months to all new and existing members at no extra cost, created an immediate acceptance application through their online system and was awarded a 5-star rating by Defaqto for its income protection products.
Iain Clark, Distribution and Marketing Director at British Friendly, said: “We have been working hard over the last 8 months to make it as easy as possible for advisers to do business with us. We want, in turn, to make it as easy as possible for advisers to do business with their clients and expanding the deferred period options our short term IP to make it market leading is a logical step. We want to provide as many comprehensive, flexible and affordable options as possible.”
