Assurant Intermediary Appoints New Business Development Manager
David joins Assurant Intermediary from NatWest Intermediary Solutions where he spent almost five years as a field business development manager, building and maintaining business relationships with intermediaries in the Essex and Cambridgeshire regions. With more than 10 years of experience in the financial services sector, including sales roles at Norwich Union and Royal Bank of Scotland, David brings a wealth of knowledge to the Assurant Intermediary sales team.

Commenting on David’s appointment, Assurant Intermediary sales and marketing director Kevin Paterson says:

“Many businesses view the sales function purely as bringing business in through the door. We don’t subscribe to that opinion. Having the right products to attract new business is meaningless if your business fails to deliver superior service. We pride ourselves on delivering the very best service to intermediaries.

"That means our BDMs are focused not just on developing new relationships but also on maintaining them. In bringing David on board, we have further strengthened our team and will continue to offer brokers sales support that is unparalleled in expertise and knowledge of general insurance.”

David will be responsible for supporting existing broker relationships, identifying new business opportunities amongst mortgage brokers and intermediaries, promoting Assurant Intermediary’s range of general insurance products and bringing new clients on board in the central south east covering areas including east London, the Fens, Norfolk and Suffolk.
