Practical Protection Podcast: Testicular cancer
Hi everyone. I hope you enjoyed the previous episode? It featured special guest Kevin Carr of Carr Consulting, who shared his expert knowledge of public relations with us. Public relations can be so beneficial to your work and your profile within the industry, it’s definitely worth giving it a listen.

For the newest episode of the Practical Protection Podcast I am joined by Matt Rann, where we focus on testicular cancer.
There are 6 cases of testicular cancer diagnosed each day, though the statistics are reassuring, with 91% of people recovering from the condition. Unlike many other conditions, there isn’t a known cause for testicular cancer, but the usual age for diagnosis is 30-34 years old.
We also discuss the diagnosis of testicular cancer. Most cancers will have a stage and grade, whereas testicular cancer has two stages and grades.
Talking about a person's health can be a very personal conversation to have. It’s important to know how to approach these and be able to give the right amount of support to your client, to make them feel comfortable speaking with you throughout the insurance finding journey.
You can listen to the episode here: https://practical-protection.co.uk/testicular-cancer/.
Don’t forget to claim your CPD certificate once you have listened to this episode: https://practical-protection.co.uk/claim-your-cpd/.
Our certificates are accredited by CPD UK, through our sponsor Octo Members.
Please don’t worry if your work systems are not keen on the CPD form (it’s a Google form). Contact me on social media or through the website and I will be able to issue the certificate directly to you.
Next time I am back once again with Matt, covering something very important, but also quite personal to me.
