Paragon Bank promotes Sweetman to national account manager
Sweetman has held previous roles at Santander and Countrywide over a 20-year career.
Paragon Bank has promoted Tim Sweetman, previously the BDM covering North West England, to the position of mortgages national account manager.
In his new role, Sweetman will work closely with Paragon's key distribution partners across the country, including networks, clubs and specialist distributors.
This collaboration will see Sweetman improve understanding of Paragon’s proposition and criteria amongst advisory member firms, facilitating a friction-free application process and ultimately helping brokers to place more business with Paragon. A key element of this includes highlighting how brokers can take advantage of Paragon’s recently launched mortgage application platform.
With over 20 years of experience in the property and financial sector, Sweetman brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. Prior to spending the last six years as BDM, he held positions at Santander and Countrywide.
Tim will initially undertake a dual role until the end of May, continuing to support brokers across the North West while transitioning to his new position.
Commenting on his new role, Tim Sweetman said: "I’m very pleased to be taking up this new role after enjoying my time as the BDM for the North West.
“My focus now is on developing and growing our relationships with network, mortgage club and other distributor partners, sharing our specialist lending knowledge with them. We are evolving how we operate with the trade and streamlining our processes to make us easier to work with, supporting advisers to find the specialist lending solutions they need for their clients."
Sally Wright, mortgages head of distribution at Paragon, added: “I am thrilled to be welcoming Tim to the national accounts team. Having worked with intermediary partners and landlords for many years, Tim has an extremely successful track record of building strong relationships, something that will be invaluable as he transitions into his new role.
“Working more strategically with our mortgage network and club partners and expanding our reach with intermediary firms remains a key priority for Paragon this year and I look forward to seeing Tim thrive in his new role.”
