The good news for brokers is that over half (52%) of the SMEs surveyed by Ageas revealed that they are planning to expand their fleet this year. The survey of 1000 UK SMEs also found that for 37% of respondents, the top priority for selecting fleet cover was the benefits offered, 34% put price as their main concern, while 18% said that excess levels were their chief consideration.
Cathy Taylor, Head of Commercial Underwriting and Operations at Ageas said:
“Optima Small Fleet ticks all the boxes when it comes to securing fleet cover for SME customers, allowing brokers to secure cover online quickly and simply. Designed for fleets of 5 to 25 vehicles, it is underpinned by an award winning Motor Claims Service independently accredited as ’world class’ by the Institute of Customer Service (2014). This promises industry leading key to key times, typically of just seven days to get SMEs back on the road fast, which really sets the product apart and will have strong appeal for SMEs. In our SME survey 40% said they view their car as a symbol of their success rather than just a workhorse (36%).
”The e-trading capability has made Optima Small Fleet simpler to sell and easier to administer. Backed up by superb service and excellent claims handing, it’s a strong proposition for brokers and SMEs.”
