OPDA launches official member accreditation programme
Accredited status confirms a member’s commitment to OPDA’s core principles.

The Open Property Data Association (OPDA) has announced the launch of its accreditation programme for members – a milestone in its mission to drive greater transparency, consistency and accessibility across the UK’s property data landscape.
The independent industry body was launched in 2023 and aims to foster innovation and industry-wide collaboration as well as setting the foundations for the future of an open property data trust framework.
The core mission of the OPDA is to deliver digitisation of the home buying and mortgage process through the adoption of open property data and technology standards across the whole industry.
The new accreditation recognises members who take the first step to formally self-certify their practical alignment with the OPDA’s values. Through this process, accredited members commit to improve how property data is shared and used, collaborating to help unlock its full potential for the benefit of the industry and consumers alike.
Accredited status confirms a member’s commitment to the OPDA’s core principles, including the promotion of open standards, ethical data use and a shared vision for a more efficient and connected property ecosystem.
The OPDA will be hosting a series of webinars and support sessions to help members understand the accreditation process and options through to full technical membership, including how to apply, what the criteria involve and what it means to be officially recognised.
Maria Harris (pictured), chair of the OPDA, commented: “By introducing this accreditation, we’re giving organisations a way to demonstrate their leadership in transforming the future of property data. It’s a mark of quality and intent and it’s one more step in our journey to a more open, collaborative industry.”
