Nationwide cuts purchase and remortgage rates by up to 0.19%
The rate cuts will benefit first-time buyers, home movers and people remortgaging.
Nationwide has reduced fixed rates by up to 0.19% for new and existing customers across its first-time buyer, home mover and remortgage ranges.
The lender's lowest rate is now 4.52% on a 60% LTV two-year fixed rate for new and existing customers moving home.
Elsewhere in the homemover range, a three-year fix at 80% LTV is down by 15bps to 4.82% and a two-year fix at 95% LTV has reduced by 19bps to 5.25%, both with a £999 fee.
First-time buyer products have also seen reductions of up to 0.19%. Two-year fixed rates now start from 4.88% at 90% LTV and 5.25% at 95% LTV with a £999 fee.
First-time buyers also receive £500 cashback when they complete their mortgage with Nationwide. First-time buyers and those moving home can also benefit from cashback of up to £500 if they purchase an energy-efficient property through Nationwide’s Green Reward.
In Nationwide's remortgage range, rates have reduced by up to 0.13%, with the largest reduction to a five-year fix at 75% LTV, down to 4.81% with a £999 fee. A 60% LTV two-year fix has reduced to 4.70% and a three-year fix at 75% LTV has decreased to 4.99%, both with a £999 fee.
Carlo Pileggi, Nationwide’s head of mortgage products, said: “After a period of increasing swap rates, recent falls have created an opportunity for us to reduce mortgage rates, and we’re moving swiftly to ensure new and existing customers can benefit. These rate cuts will benefit a wide range of customers – first-time buyers, new and existing customers moving home as well as those remortgaging to Nationwide.”
