SortRefer reports New Year BTL surge
SortRefer is reporting a New Year surge in requests for its BTL remortgage conveyancing product.

In the three month period from November 2015-Jan 2016, conveyancing transactions have increased 40% overall with purchase business up 51% when compared to the same period in the previous year. At the same time, remortgage transactions increased 73% over the same three month period.
The company believes that 2016 is shaping up to be a strong one for intermediaries.
Kevin Tunnicliffe, Managing Director of SortRefer, said:
“2016 has started in the same way as the old year finished – Fast and Furious! With the upcoming hike in stamp duty on BTL and second homes, brokers and their clients have been quick off the mark. But the volume of remortgage business has also been a revelation as evidenced by the number of broker requests being taken by our conveyancer panel.
“With our service proposition expanding and a move to new premises on the horizon, we are looking forward to a great year. The need for professional advice in all areas means that intermediaries are going to be more in demand than ever and we are here to support their conveyancing needs.”
