The firm is offering legal services on remortgages at a reduced rate of £320, inclusive of VAT, which incorporates an exclusive legal administration fee of £120.
The launch of the product, which saves the customer £99 on Goldsmith Williams’ usual legal costs, is in response to a raft of tighter remortgage controls put into place by a number of providers in recent weeks.
Speaking of the launch, Eddie Goldsmith, partner at Goldsmith Williams, said:
“With so many lenders restricting their criteria for remortgage products lately, introducers - and ultimately customers - are finding it increasingly difficult to gain access to refinance. We have recognised this and launched a market leading product that will allow introducers to continue to provide clients with competitively priced products and be financially rewarded.
"The decision to roll the product out through Personal Touch was taken on account of our excellent working relationship, but we hope to be able to make the product available to other partner networks in the near future.”
Dev Malle, sales and marketing director at Personal Touch, added:
“This is an excellent product for our members and their clients, and will help clients looking to remortgage. The timing is perfect as we expect remortgage activity to increase on the back of a number of lenders repricing standard variable rates upwards.”
