FCA announces redress scheme for former mortgage intermediary
The FCA has announced that a redress programme is underway for customers of The Mortgage Matters Partnership who may have been given unsuitable mortgage advice.

The Mortgage Matters Partnership is a former mortgage and insurance intermediary which is authorised by the FCA but is no longer trading.
TMMP, which is an unlimited partnership, is in consultation with an Insolvency Practitioner and has now voluntarily removed its permissions.
In response to customer complaints, the Financial Ombudsman Service has also assessed a number of PPI complaints against TMMP and found in favour of the complainants.
The FCA says it has been in discussion with TMMP and various other parties, including the FOS and the FSCS, after finding that a number of consumers trying to resolve their complaints have had difficulties in contacting TMMP.
The FCA said customers wishing to make a complaint or claim against TMMP should submit a claim online to the FSCS using the FSCS claim service and should not contact the Financial Ombudsman Service.
