MAF Finance Group (MAF) has appointed Liam Given and Jack Moylan, both formerly of Close Brothers Asset Finance, as relationship directors.

Based in the Midlands region, Liam and Jack will offer a full range of finance services to businesses with a particular focus on agriculture, sustainability, and the waste and recycling sector.

Created in 2009 and now part of Begbies Traynor Group, MAF works to support SMEs and larger corporates to source funding across a range of products. Comprising a 50-strong team of specialist bankers and asset financiers, it provides expertise in asset finance, invoice finance, property finance, healthcare, renewables, vehicle fleets and wider debt structuring.

Sue Chapman, managing director at MAF Finance Group, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Liam and Jack to the MAF team. Their knowledge of the asset finance market and dedication to building long-term client relationships stood out to us. Both bring a fresh perspective and deep understanding of new emerging industries, making them a great addition to our expanding team.

“At MAF, we’re focused on delivering tailored funding solutions with proven sector expertise, and our new recruits share that same commitment. Their arrival marks another important step in strengthening our national presence and enhancing the service we provide to clients across the UK.”

Liam Given commented: “I’m really excited to be joining MAF at such a dynamic time for the business. The team’s reputation for delivering specialist finance solutions across a wide range of sectors is something that attracted me to the role.

“With a strong background in supporting clients in the waste and recycling industry, I’m looking forward to helping even more businesses access the funding they need to invest in cleaner, more efficient equipment. The directors’ relationships with the High Street and Challenger Banks and alternative funders is so strong. Engaging with these funders is helping my clients meet their growth objectives.”

Jack Moylan added: “I’m thrilled to be part of the MAF team. Their focus on tailored finance and sector expertise aligns with my approach, and I’m excited to help businesses access the funding they need to grow and develop.”
