William H Brown acquires Ian Sinclair Estate Agents
William H Brown estate agency, part of the Sequence Group, is delighted to announce the acquisition of Ian Sinclair Estate Agents, a Norfolk-based property sales and lettings bus
The transaction will see William H Brown extend its reach into the Great Yarmouth housing market as well as absorbing Ian Sinclair's Gorleston branch into its existing operation in this town,
Reinforcing its pre-eminence in Norfolk's residential market, the Great Yarmouth branch will be re-branded to trade under the William H Brown banner. Ian Sinclair, its founder, will join William H Brown as a consultant, bringing many years local expertise to the new business.
Simon Arnes, Divisional Managing Director for William H Brown, says:
"We are thrilled to be opening a William H Brown branch in Great Yarmouth, a move which will take the total number of offices we have in Norfolk to 24.
"We have long wished to extend our presence into the Great Yarmouth market; this recent acquisition has given us an opportunity to do so as well as gaining the expertise of Ian Sinclair who brings a great deal of experience to our new operation."
William H Brown has been in operation for over 100 years and has over 100 branches across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, This latest acquisition of Ian Sinclair Ltd follows another recent purchase of Gorleston-based West Estate Agents in July 2011.
William H Brown has already has a lot of success with this office including over 60 sales agreed since opening. The success of the former West Estate Agent office has promoted the more recent acquisition for William H Brown.
Simon continues:
"This latest acquisition means that William H Brown now has branches in every major town in Norfolk.
"We maintain a market leading position in the localities in which we operate which is backed up by being part of the nationwide Sequence Group including around 300 branches across the UK.
"We will be retaining the already well-known existing team at William H Brown in Great Yarmouth who are looking forward to using their local experience to help many people in and around the area move home in 2012.
"The branch will also have an in-house mortgage consultant to advise those looking for mortgages, to remortgage or buying property as an investment."
