Countrywide launches fast track valuer scheme
Countrywide has announced its Fast Track Trainee Surveyor Programme which is open to all property professionals with a minimum four years relevant residential property industry expertise or two years if degree qualified.
This programme aims to source the 'best and brightest talent' to join their expanding surveyor teams and assist with a busy surveying profession due to the recent upturn in mortgage market activity.
Countrywide Surveying Services plans to recruit 90 suitable professionals with two intakes of 30 planned in October 2013 and a further 30 in January 2014.
Paul Chapman, Managing Director, Countrywide Surveying Services said:
“We are pleased to be at the forefront of developments in major trainee surveyor schemes. This will provide fantastic opportunities for talented individuals to develop a professional career and at the same time help in addressing the capacity issue facing the industry. Encouraging and training new blood to join the surveying profession is one of the key solutions to addressing this industry wide issue. Introducing these types of schemes and encouraging more talent to join the profession and demonstrating the value in building a career as a surveyor is key to achieving longevity.”
Peter Bolton King, Global Residential Director at the RICS added:
"I am delighted to see that Countrywide are increasing their number of Trainee Surveyors. As the market picks up there is no doubt that there is a need for new entrants into the profession and Countrywide's commitment to helping this is very welcome."
