Chelsea offers borrowers help with conveyancing costs
Chelsea Building Society is enhancing its mortgage range by introducing a range of products offering a free valuation and a legal fee incentive.
The Chelsea now offers a free valuation and fee-assisted legal package on selected products to help to ease borrowers' costs associated with buying their first home, moving house or simply remortgaging.
As one of the few major lenders to offer this service to homebuyers, the Chelsea hopes it will ease some of the financial concerns for borrowers at a time when wallets can be stretched.
Chelsea Building Society Product Manager Jemma Smith said:
"We understand buying a new home can be extremely stressful - not to say expensive. We hope that by offering a free valuation and assistance with legal fees we can help to relieve some of this financial pressure.
"We can also take away a little bit of the stress and give our customers one less thing to worry about."
In addition to mortgages for new purchasers, a free valuation and legal fee assistance is also available to remortgaging customers.

"Homeowners wishing to switch lenders may be deterred by the associated costs of remortgaging. By offering these incentives we aim to remove this obstacle for them."
