Investec launches Sustainable Energy Finance business
Investec Asset Finance has launched a new Sustainable Energy Finance business, helping UK companies to fund renewable energy assets such as solar panels, biomass boilers and onshore wind turbines.
"We see strong growth opportunities as more and more of our customers seek to reduce their carbon footprints and use renewable energy to generate income and create savings"
The new offering will be led by Charlotte Davies, who joins Investec from Shawbrook where she was head of agriculture and renewables finance. Previously, she worked at RBS covering agriculture and renewables, and has more than 10 years’ experience of delivering funding solutions to customers in these markets.
Working closely with Investec’s Power and Infrastructure Finance team, Charlotte will be responsible for developing the bank’s risk appetite and rolling out the origination strategy across Investec Asset Finance’s existing direct and indirect channels, as well as using her own supplier and customer relationships.
Investec’s Wesley Harfield commented: “Investec is committed to supporting UK businesses as they move towards sustainable energy. We see strong growth opportunities as more and more of our customers seek to reduce their carbon footprints and use renewable energy to generate income and create savings for their businesses, and we’re excited to have Charlotte bringing her experience to Investec.”
