Halifax Intermediaries launches Loyalty Club mortgages
Club Lloyds, Club Lloyds Silver and Club Lloyds Platinum accounts all qualify, with no minimum income requirement.
Halifax Intermediaries has launched a range of discounted Loyalty Club mortgages for eligible Club Lloyds customers buying a home through a broker. The products will be available for first-time buyer and home mover purchase applications from 22 October.
Brokers can offer the same Club Lloyds eligibility and discount as customers applying directly to the lender, so the terms stay the same whichever route a borrower takes.
Leigh Church, acting head of Halifax Intermediaries, said: “Brokers play a significant role in helping customers navigate the mortgage market and find a mortgage that meets their circumstances. We want to give them more choice when they are helping customers buy a home.
“By making our new Loyalty Club mortgage products available through Halifax Intermediaries, eligible Club Lloyds customers can access the discount whether they choose to arrange their mortgage through a broker or come to us directly.
“It’s another step in how we’re developing our intermediary proposition and fulfilling our commitment to the broker market as we move towards the launch of Lloyds Intermediaries in 2027.”
Who is eligible
At least one applicant must hold a qualifying Club Lloyds current account. Club Lloyds, Club Lloyds Silver and Club Lloyds Platinum accounts all qualify, with no minimum income requirement. Customers without an eligible account can open or upgrade to one before choosing a Loyalty Club mortgage.
More choice across the Halifax Intermediaries range
Loyalty Club products cover purchase applications only, including New Build Extended and Affordable Housing products. They are not available for:
- remortgages
- further advances
- product transfers
The new range sits alongside the existing Loyalty Premier mortgages, which are open to customers holding a qualifying Lloyds Premier current account. Loyalty Premier has different eligibility criteria and covers purchases, remortgages, product transfers and further advances. Purchase and remortgage applications need at least one applicant with an income of £100,000 or more, while product transfers and further advances carry no minimum income requirement.
Making Loyalty products easier for brokers to identify
Loyalty Club mortgages will carry a ‘Club’ icon in Halifax Intermediaries’ Product Search tool and Products Guide, and Loyalty Premier products will carry a ‘Premier’ icon. Both ranges will also appear on brokers’ usual mortgage sourcing platforms.
Brokers may want to consider Club products for joint applications where customers qualify for both Club and Premier accounts. Premier products will initially be displayed first, however, because they offer the larger discount.
