Halifax enhances further advance application process
The new process includes instant decisioning with a ‘soft footprint’ credit search.

Following broker feedback, Halifax has improved its further advance application process.
Halifax says the new process, now available via Halifax Intermediaries Online, will better enable brokers to support existing Halifax mortgage customers looking for additional borrowing.
New features include instant decisioning with a Decision in Principle that has a ‘soft footprint’ credit search.
The process also allows intermediaries to create and review illustrations instantly, with the ability to save and resume keying and amend the loan amount and other details before submitting the application in full.
The online system fact find questions will automatically determine if an application can follow the new or existing process.
The latest upgrade follows criteria changes last month which saw Halifax accept non-sterling incomes and enhance its shared ownership affordability.
