Foundation appoints East regional account manager
Foz has held previous roles at Countrywide, Santander, TSB and Metro Bank.
Foundation has appointed Foz Ahmad as regional account manager for the East, strengthening its support for brokers.
Ahmad brings 12 years of experience in the mortgage industry, having worked as both a mortgage adviser and a business development manager. He started his career as an adviser with Countrywide, before moving to Santander and later TSB. He joins Foundation from Metro Bank where he spent eight years, predominantly in business development.
At Foundation, he will work with intermediaries across the East to help them find suitable lending solutions for clients whose circumstances fall outside standard lending criteria.
Grant Hendry, director of sales at Foundation, said: “Foz brings a valuable combination of experience from both sides of the adviser-BDM relationship. Having worked as an adviser himself, he understands the challenges brokers face when placing more complex cases and the importance of having a lender who can provide broad products, flexible underwriting and practical support.
“His experience will be a real asset as we continue to build strong relationships with brokers across the East. We want intermediaries to feel confident bringing us cases that need a more individual approach, and Foz will play an important role in helping them understand how Foundation can support their clients across residential and buy-to-let.”
Foz Ahmad commented: “Having worked as both an adviser and a BDM, I understand the importance of having a lender who takes the time to understand a case and work with the broker to find a solution.
“I enjoy getting into the detail of each enquiry, particularly where a client's circumstances don't fit standard lending criteria. I'm looking forward to meeting brokers across the East, building strong relationships and helping them make mortgages happen for their clients.”
