Spicerhaart staff raise over £100,000 for charity
Spicerhaart staff helped to raise over £100,000 for Magic Moments last year.
Staff from across the UK estate agency group pulled out all the stops in 2011 for Magic Moments, raising an incredible total of £104,341 - the highest figure ever in a single year.
From dragon boat races to skydives, Spicerhaart staff took part in dozens of weird and wonderful activities over the last 12 months as part of their commitment to the charity. Launched in 1998, Magic Moments supports the work of children's hospices throughout the country. To date, it has raised upwards of £750,000.
The enthusiasm of staff to continue to fundraise shows no signs of slowing, with scores of events already scheduled for 2012. Among those already to have taken place this year was the recent Masquerade Ball at Colchester Town Hall in Colchester. Over 200 people attended the Ball, and together with an Auction that night, helped to raise a staggering £11,394 for Magic Moments.
Steve Lamb, Chairman of Magic Moments, said:
"I can't begin to express my thanks to everyone at Spicerhaart as well as their family, friends and members of the public for the effort they have put into generating such a record breaking amount of money to support the ongoing work of the charity."
