The seminars are the first events of their kind where both advisers and their professional connections – solicitors, accountants, brokers and introducers – will be able to learn about the sector, the responsibilities that come with advising on UCIS, the myths surrounding it, the regulator’s viewpoint, identifying clients, and how to ensure compliance at every step of the process.
Attendees will also be able to learn about a number of other areas including those that specifically affect clients including inheritance tax, delivering income and broader market information.
Connaught requests that interested advisers register their, and their professional connections’ interest, by calling 020 8971 9720.
Alistair Mawdsley, Director of Connaught, commented:
“It seems an opportune time to announce this series of seminars which will focus on a number of areas but most notably provider attendees with quality information and education about UCIS, the products, their responsibilities, and much more.
"These events are not sales pitches, instead we want to bring advisers and their professional connections together in order to help them understand the UCIS sector better and to support their advice in this area.
"In particular we want to tackle some of the myths that have been accepted as gospel within the marketplace, especially when there continues to be a tarring of UCIS products with the same brush. Not all UCIS are the same and this will be emphasised at our events.
"We are looking forward to meeting advisers across the country during January and February and would urge all those already active in the sector, or looking at the opportunities within it, to contact Connaught to register their interest and secure their place.”
