The challenge is a grueling event comprising a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile cycle ride, finishing with a 13.1 mile half marathon run. The Group has now set up a sponsorship page to encourage brokers around the country to show their support for his dedication to help a worthy cause.
Nick Jones, National Sales Manager said:
“There’s no doubt this is a big challenge for Lorenzo, but I know he is very disciplined throughout his training and on track to take on the challenge. It’s terrific that he is raising not just funds but also awareness for an amazing charity and the work it does is vital.”
Lorenzo commented:
“I’ve been overwhelmed by the support and well-wishes I’ve had from colleagues, brokers and partners already, so I’m on track to achieving my goal, but would love to raise even more. I still have two months before the big day, so it’s certainly encouraging to get this kind of support to help me to stay focused.”
Many corporate sponsors have already donated and there are pledges from several more.
Matt Cottle, Commercial Director at Y3S Loans, said:
“We’ve worked with Blemain Group for many years and Lorenzo is one of our key contacts. We had no hesitation in supporting him and are happy to contribute to his fundraising efforts for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.”
