Dudley BS appoints Roberts as head of lending
The Society has announced a duo of senior appointments.
Dudley Building Society has appointed Jayne Roberts as head of lending and Richard McDonald as brand and communications manager.
Jayne joins from Skipton Building Society, bringing extensive experience across the mortgage and lending sector. In her new role, she will lead Dudley’s lending function, overseeing the development of its mortgage proposition and underwriting operations, while supporting the Society’s ambitions to expand its specialist lending expertise.
Richard McDonald joins the Society following a 20-year career at Lloyds Banking Group, most recently leading the marketing for Halifax Intermediaries and BM Solutions. He will lead the Society’s brand, communications and engagement strategy, working across both internal and external communications.
Rob Oliver, distribution director at Dudley Building Society, said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Jayne and Richard to Dudley Building Society. They each bring extensive experience, strong leadership and a genuine understanding of our sector, making them excellent additions to the team.
“Both appointments reflect the direction we’re taking as a Society and the importance we place on having experienced people leading key areas of the business. I’m confident they’ll each make a significant contribution and wish them every success in their new roles.”
Jayne Roberts commented: “Dudley Building Society has clear ambitions for its lending proposition, and I’m pleased to be joining the Society at an important stage in that development.
“The specialist lending market continues to evolve, but one thing remains constant: good lending depends on experienced people making well-informed decisions and understanding the circumstances behind every application.
“The Society has built a lending proposition around those principles, and that’s something I genuinely value. There is a real opportunity to build on that approach while continuing to support brokers and deliver good outcomes for members.”
Richard McDonald added: “Dudley Building Society has a clear story to tell and a genuine opportunity to raise its profile with members, brokers and the wider market.
“A strong brand isn’t created by marketing alone. It’s built through the experiences people have with an organisation every day. My role is to ensure those experiences are reflected through clear, consistent communications that help people better understand what Dudley Building Society stands for.”
