Dragonfly adds new manager to commercial property team
London-based short and medium-term lender, Dragonfly Property Finance, today announced it has hired Dominic Gibson as an Investment Manager in its commercial property team.
The recruitment of Dominic, who has an impressive track record advising on and managing real estate assets over the past decade, comes in the wake of the recent launch of Dragonfly’s £130m Commercial Real Estate Debt Fund.
Dominic was most recently a fund manager at a private equity investment fund, where he was responsible for managing a £175m real estate portfolio comprising office, industrial, leisure and hotel assets.
Prior to that, he worked as a fund manager at Ekistics Property Investors, where he invested £100m of seed capital in a broad range of pan-European property assets.
Dominic started his career at JLL, where he spent five years working in the National Investment Team. He joins Dragonfly at an exciting time as the business recently announced that it has completed over £1bn of loans since inception in 2009.
Jonathan Samuels, CEO, Dragonfly Property Finance, commented:
“To be able to hire in people like Dominic reflects the development of Dragonfly into an established lender with substantial commercial property expertise. We have bold plans for the sector and Dominic will play a key role in bringing them to fruition.”
Ludo Mackenzie, Head of Commercial Property, Dragonfly Property Finance, said:
“We are delighted to attract someone of Dominic’s calibre – his skills and experience will be invaluable as our growth story continues.”
Dominic Gibson, Investment Manager, Dragonfly Property Finance, added:
“I’m really excited to be joining Dragonfly. To my mind, they have built an incredibly strong platform that offers a genuine alternative to traditional bank financing.”
