Breeze Capital enhances bridging offer with new team
The lender has appointed a new leadership team and improved its systems to grow its bridging and light refurbishment finance propositions.
Breeze Capital has appointed a new-look team as part of a drive to enhance its bridging finance offer to investors and developers.
Breeze Capital has recruited experienced leaders and improved its systems and marketing to grow its residential bridging and light refurbishment finance propositions.
The short-term lender, which is owned by the Padley group, offers loans in England and Wales ranging from £50,000 to £1.8m and delivered exclusively through brokers.
Richard Padley has taken over as managing director and Mike Williams, who has held senior roles including head of group distribution at Aldermore Bank and operations director at Shawbrook Bank, has joined as operations director.
Steve Robinett and Lotty Glindon have been appointed as senior underwriters, having previously held underwriting posts at Shawbrook Bank.
The team has set up a new office in Peterborough, loan management system Kennek has been introduced to make processes more efficient, and a new website has been launched, alongside refreshed company branding.
Supported by a funding line from Shawbrook Bank, Breeze Capital is owned by the Padley family, who have been established since 1959.
Trading since 2022, the lender specialises in funding purchases, auction acquisitions, chain breaks, refurbishment projects and development exits.
Richard Padley said: “We are delighted to shape a very capable new team for Breeze Capital, backed with improved systems and a fresh approach to our marketing, all to build upon our reputation as a reliable specialist lender.
“We want to gain wider traction for our offering, including lending up to 95% of purchase price, which we believe is rare in the current market, along with the provision of three valuation routes at the same loan-to-value of 75% and the presence of a named underwriter.”
Mike Williams added: “I am pleased to join a lender which makes decisions in-house based on judgement, not pure criteria matching, to open new opportunities to provide loans.
“With our sector increasingly becoming automated through the increased use of technology, our personal approach to specialist lending allows us to underwrite on judgement where a criteria-driven lender could decline automatically.
“The support of the Padley family with Shawbrook Bank offers greater funding certainty so I look forward to growing our network to unlock new opportunities in the market.”
