Barclays launches sub-4% mortgage rates in widespread reductions
The bank has launched new large loan rates from 3.91%.

Barclays has reduced rates across a wide range of residential and buy-to-let products, introducing more sub-4% mortgage rates.
Available from tomorrow, Wednesday 9th July, the changes include reductions of up to 0.52% as well as the launch of two new three-year fixed rate residential products, starting from 4.04% at 60% LTV with no fee and 4.09% at 75% LTV with an £899 fee.
In its residential remortgage range, rates have reduced by between 0.45% and 0.52%. At 85% LTV, a two-year fix is down to 4.67% and a five-year fix has decreased to 4.52%, both with a £999 fee, while a Great Escape five-year fix now starts at 4.62% with no product fee.
In Barclays' large loans range, the lender is now offering two sub-4% mortgages - a two-year fix at 60% LTV, down to 3.91%, and a five-year fix at 3.99%, both with a £1,999 fee.
Elsewhere in the large loans range rates have reduced by up to 0.38%, with two-year fixed rates reduced to 4.03% at 70% LTV and 4.14% at 75% LTV with a £1,999 fee.
For buy-to-let, rates have reduced by up to 0.50% with a trio of products benefitting from the largest reduction. At 60% LTV, two and five-year fixed rates now start from 4.35% and 4.15% respectively with a £2,495 fee. At 75% LTV, a two-year fixed rate purchase only product with a £1,295 fee is down by 50bps to 4.58%.
Two and five-year buy-to-let remortgage only products have reduced by up to 0.49%, now starting from 4.17%.
Two and five-year Green Home buy-to-let products at 75% LTV have also reduced by up to 0.50%, starting at 4.48% and 4.05% respectively.
In Barclays' existing customer Reward range, a new residential five-year fix at 60% LTV has launched at 3.92% with a £999 fee.
Buy-to-let Reward rates are down by up to 0.54%, with two-year rates at 65% LTV now starting from 4.10% and a 75% LTV two-year fixes down by 40bos to 4.15% with a £1,795 fee and by 53bps to 4.52% fee-free.
In its five-year buy-to-let Reward range, rates now start from 4.08% at 65% LTV with the largest reductions at products over 75% LTV. A two-year fixed rate with no fee is down by 54bps to 5.10%.
