Barclays hires McCormack to lead mortgage intermediary channel
Barclays UK has appointed Roland McCormack in the newly-created role of head of mortgage intermediaries, it announced today.

McCormack will be responsible for leading Barclays’ intermediary channel strategy, delivering a strong broker experience, and playing an integral role in shaping the design and delivery of the bank’s wider mortgage journey.
He will assume his position on July 1st and report directly to head of mortgages Lee Chiswell.
McCormack brings over 30 years’ experience in the sector, most recently holding senior leadership roles at TSB Bank where, as Mortgage Distribution Director, he built TSB’s intermediary proposition from the ground up.
Lee Chiswell, head of mortgages at Barclays UK, said:
“The advice process plays a vital role in helping borrowers navigate the homebuying journey. We’re deeply committed to helping brokers succeed and want to make it even easier to do business with us. We’re delighted to welcome Roland whose appointment. Along with our new team structure, reflects our ambition to offer a best-in-class, compliant, and competitive intermediary proposition.”
