Aspen Bridging bolsters underwriting team
Aspen Bridging continues to expand its team in 2021 with the appointments of Katherine Wilson as an underwriter and Aqib Iqbal as an underwriter and risk team member.
"To meet the increasing workload throughout this year and beyond we need to keep adding staff"
Wilson arrives from Precise Mortgages where she worked as short-term lending processor in the bridging department.
Iqbal holds a Law with Politics (LLB) degree and LPC & MSc in Law, Business and Management. He has recently worked with Latham & Watkins LLP and previously was a legal administrator at Cooks LLP.
In February, Aspen announced that Ian Miller-Hawes had been appointed to the newly created role of head of sales with Laura Randall hired as an underwriter and Jonathan Caddy as senior IT developer.
Jack Coombs, director at Aspen, said: “April was a record month where we lent £23m, and we are on track for having a record May.
“To meet the increasing workload throughout this year and beyond we need to keep adding staff, and as is the case with Aqib and Katherine we will look to bring in more recent graduates who we educate through our own comprehensive internal programmes to ensure their service is the best in the industry.”
