Afin Bank promotes Peter Hale to deputy chief financial officer
Hale’s remit as deputy chief financial officer covers strategic and financial plans and balance sheet management.
Afin Bank has promoted Peter Hale to deputy chief financial officer.
Hale joined the fintech specialist mortgage lender and savings provider as head of finance last year and was part of the team that launched the bank in July 2025. As deputy chief financial officer, he will help develop and deliver Afin’s strategic and financial plans and oversee financial and balance sheet management as the bank continues to grow in 2027.
Hale (pictured) said: “It has been a hugely exciting period for Afin, going from launch last year to now actively helping more borrowers to get a mortgage and offering savings accounts to help customers grow their money.
“Working in a start-up bank can bring challenges, but I really enjoy being part of a fast-paced business and making a difference day-to-day. I am delighted to take on this new role and look forward to working with everyone in Afin as we continue to grow the business in the years ahead.”
Charles Resnick, chief financial officer at Afin Bank, added: “Peter has made a massive impact since he joined Afin and is a vital part of the financial team. Peter’s knowledge and experience of banking and regulation have been of great assistance.
“He has built a solid finance team and infrastructure required for our period of growth, together with supporting key deliverables required for a new and growing bank. This promotion is recognition of all the incredible hard work and dedication shown since joining and the important role he will play in the future of the bank.”
