A number of key issues were addressed during the conference, including the financing of partially completed residential property developments, an analysis of investment loan structures, and even a guide explaining how to get on the right side of a credit committee! Guest speakers from Aldermore’s asset finance business and Petty Chartered surveyors rounded off the presentations.
Rob Lankey, Head of Lending at Aldermore Commercial Mortgages, said:
“We were delighted with the very positive response we received to our first commercial mortgage conference. We wanted to set an upbeat, forward-looking agenda and instil a sense of confidence about the future amongst our distribution partners.
"It was good not only to be able to address the business issues of the day, but to also be able to spend time socialising with work colleagues. However I can confirm that Colin Montgomerie should not use any of his wild cards on commercial finance brokers at the forthcoming Ryder Cup event!”
David Whittaker, Managing Director of Mortgages for Business, said:
“It’s great to see a bank bucking the trend and investing in its relationships with business introducers. Aldermore’s event was both informative and relaxing and I congratulate them on a job well done.”
Nick Harrison of Bespoke Business Finance said:
“Aldermore clearly demonstrated how they’re willing to help brokers make the most of opportunities in a tough market. It’s a pity that the presentations didn’t cover how to make the most of opportunities on a tough golf course! A great event and a big thank you to the Aldermore team.”
