LendInvest promotes Dan Lohn to head of development finance

LendInvest has promoted Dan Lohn to head of development finance.
Originally hired as a relationship manager in 2025, Dan brings over a decade of experience operating as both a development lender and a property developer, bringing a dual-perspective understanding of the property market.
Under Dan’s leadership, the development finance team will focus on empowering SME developers by scaling access to flexible finance designed specifically for regional housebuilders.
Dan also plans to streamline the borrower journey, leveraging his firsthand experience as a developer to optimise the funding lifecycle and reduce friction and delays for clients.
Dan’s promotion comes as the lender recently announced the hiring of three new portfolio managers to manage the day-to-day progress of funded schemes.
Dan Lohn commented: “Having sat on both sides of the table as a developer and a lender, I understand the unique pressures SME housebuilders face in today's market.
"The UK has a critical need for new housing, and SME developers are essential to bridging that gap. I am incredibly proud to step into this new role at LendInvest.
"My focus is on stripping away friction in the funding process and delivering the fast, flexible capital our borrowers need to get spades in the ground and build the homes this country desperately needs.”
John Eastgate, chief commercial officer at LendInvest, said: “Dan's unique perspective as a former developer and seasoned lender makes him the ideal leader for our development finance team.
"LendInvest's expertise, built over more than a decade of development finance lending, lies in its understanding of the complexities of development projects. By definition, they're seldom straightforward, and every project comes with its own story. Dan's passion for construction and his 'boots on the ground' experience is a perfect fit for LendInvest as we continue to support SME developers across England, Scotland and Wales."
