A first time pass rate of 90% was achieved across all three cohorts of the trainee programme, against the overall industry level of just below 70%.
The introduction of the Countrywide Surveying Services trainee programme in October 2013, was a proactive approach towards addressing the increasing demand for surveyors to complete valuations and assessments for the transaction process after the housing market began to pick up earlier that year.
Each of the trainees has had the benefit of being mentored by local experienced surveyors during their training and even when qualified they have been subject to further rigours of the Countrywide specific competency framework, which is over and above the base requirements of the RICS qualification.
Paul Wareham, Director of Field Operations said:
“I am absolutely delighted to report that all of our trainees are qualified associates of RICS. The level of success we have achieved during this programme is not only testament to the sheer hard work and determination of the trainees themselves but also the quality of the training.
“It’s great to see all our trainees working in the field and spread across a wide geographic area, predominantly in the South East and London but also in Scotland and Northern Ireland. We know they will have a positive impact on the business as the market improves and we look forward to seeing their careers develop.”
