Kensington cuts buy-to-let rates by up to 15bps
The lender has reduced rates across its prime, prime eKo and core ranges at 75% LTV.
Kensington Mortgages has announced rate reductions of up to 15bps across selected buy-to-let products, including its prime, prime eKo and core ranges at 75% LTV.
For Kensington’s prime range, 75% LTV two-year fixed rates now start from 3.69% with a 5% fee, while five-year fixed rates start from 4.99%. On its prime eKo range, for properties rated A-C for energy efficiency, rates start from 4.39% for two-year fixes and 5.07% for five-year fixes, both with 3% fee.
In addition, rates across Kensington’s core range have been reduced, with 75% LTV two-year fixed rates now starting from 3.99% with a 5% fee and five-year fixed rates from 5.42% with a 3% fee.
Alongside its refreshed pricing, Kensington continues to offer free valuations on all buy-to-let applications, including HMOs and MUBs, helping landlords to reduce upfront costs.
Kensington recently introduced enhancements to its broker portal, including new filters that allow brokers to find products more quickly by searching by product name and fixed rate duration.
Andy Bickers, commercial director at Kensington Mortgages, commented: “These latest rate reductions further strengthen the competitiveness of our buy-to-let offering, giving brokers and their landlord clients access to attractively priced products across our prime, prime eKo and core ranges.
“However, competitive pricing is only part of what makes a great lending experience. We know how important it is for brokers to have access to responsive, reliable support, which is why they can reach one of our desk BDMs in under a minute on average.
“Once a case is submitted, brokers also receive a call from their assigned mandated underwriter, providing a direct point of contact to help applications progress as quickly and smoothly as possible.
“We’re continually looking at ways to make brokers’ lives easier, including through recent enhancements to our broker portal that make it quicker to find the right products for clients. By combining competitive rates, specialist expertise and consistently high standards of service, we’re continuing to make Kensington a lender that brokers can rely on.”
